Key Responsibilities
- Manage virtual reception duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and confirming patient visits via phone, email, and secure messaging.
- Process patient registrations, update personal and medical information, and maintain accurate digital patient records.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding payments or denied claims.
- Assist with billing procedures, generate invoices, explain treatment costs to patients, and process payments securely.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure all necessary documentation is transferred efficiently.
- Prepare and send patient reminders, recall notices, and post-appointment follow-up communications.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA and local privacy regulations.
- Support dental staff with various administrative tasks, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
- Utilize dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft) proficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and effective resolution skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office administrative role.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
