Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of properties, equipment, and communal areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies from residents/tenants.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to plumbing (leaks, clogs), electrical (faults, wiring), and carpentry (repairs, installations).
- Repair or replace broken fixtures, appliances, windows, doors, and other structural components.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and time spent.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects beyond in-house capabilities.
- Manage and replenish maintenance supplies and inventory, ensuring availability of essential tools and materials.
- Assist with general upkeep, landscaping, and cleanliness of communal areas and grounds.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in property maintenance, facility management, or a related trade.
- Strong foundational knowledge and practical skills in plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting and filter replacement.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and repair skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, staff, and contractors.
