Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, checking for unauthorized persons, security breaches, or suspicious activities.
- Monitor and operate surveillance equipment (CCTV) to detect and deter security threats.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and issuing visitor passes as required.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following established procedures.
- Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities accurately and thoroughly in daily reports.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, staff, and visitors while maintaining professional decorum.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Conduct security inspections and report any equipment malfunctions or hazards.
- Assist in first aid and emergency response as required.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate security equipment and systems.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or higher) may be an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and system monitoring.
