Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano) and teas, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Operate and maintain all coffee-making equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, following strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately, using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and surrounding areas throughout shifts.
- Monitor and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, communicating inventory needs to management.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow, especially during peak hours.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a barista in a restaurant, café, or similar fast-paced hospitality setting.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, latte art, and various brewing methods.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of German is a strong plus).
