As our Compliance Officer, you will serve as a key advisor, providing expert guidance on a broad spectrum of compliance matters, including but not limited to anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), data privacy, consumer protection, and general corporate governance. You will be responsible for proactively identifying potential compliance risks, developing and implementing robust mitigation strategies, and fostering a strong culture of compliance throughout the organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments across all business functions and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Monitor changes in local and international regulatory landscapes (e.g., MAS guidelines, AML/CFT standards) and ensure timely adaptation.
  • Provide expert advice and training to staff on compliance matters, fostering a strong compliance culture.
  • Handle regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits, preparing necessary documentation and responses.
  • Oversee the review of new products, services, and initiatives to ensure compliance from conception to launch.
  • Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management and the board, highlighting key risks and compliance status.
  • Investigate and report compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services or FinTech sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore's regulatory framework, including MAS regulations (e.g., SFA, FAA, PS Act, AML/CFT notices).
  • Demonstrated experience with risk management frameworks and internal control systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information clearly.
  • High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA Diploma in Compliance, CFA).
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with compliance management software and data analytics tools.
  • Project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
