Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inventory counts of all food, beverage, and non-food items.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
- Place orders with approved suppliers based on par levels and operational needs.
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, verifying quantities, quality, and condition against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain orderly stockrooms, refrigerators, and freezers, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
- Monitor expiration dates and minimize waste through proactive inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issues.
- Assist in negotiating with suppliers for favorable pricing and terms.
- Implement and adhere to established inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Generate inventory reports and provide insights to management regarding stock levels, usage, and costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in storage areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and management teams to forecast demand and optimize stock levels.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk, Stock Controller, or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with specific restaurant POS/inventory systems (e.g., Lightspeed, Toast, Oracle MICROS).
