Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces in assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces according to established schedules and procedures.
- Empty waste receptacles, dispose of trash, and replace liners in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring its proper use and storage.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures, especially in sensitive environments.
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, if required.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks periodically as scheduled.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning services.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and their safe use.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor buffers).
