Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in optimal working condition.
- Execute experimental procedures and tests under the supervision of senior researchers, accurately following protocols.
- Collect, record, and organize experimental data, ensuring meticulous documentation and adherence to data integrity standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reagents, solutions, and media according to established formulas and quality control guidelines.
- Perform routine laboratory maintenance, including cleaning workstations, sterilizing glassware, and managing waste disposal.
- Monitor inventory of lab supplies and chemicals, assisting with ordering and stock management to prevent shortages.
- Comply with all safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental design, results, and troubleshooting.
- Learn and apply new laboratory techniques and technologies as required by ongoing research projects.
- Analyze samples using various analytical techniques and interpret results with guidance from senior staff.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
- Demonstrated foundational understanding of laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory equipment operation (e.g., centrifuges, pH meters, microscopes).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
