Career.zycto is seeking a highly vigilant and detail-oriented Security Access Attendant to join our team in D-line, Port Harcourt. In this crucial full-time role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and contractors, playing a pivotal part in maintaining the safety and security of our premises. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously control access points, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the facility while providing a welcoming yet secure environment. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to established security protocols. You will be instrumental in identifying and reporting suspicious activities, managing visitor logs, and responding effectively to security incidents. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a broader security team to uphold the highest standards of protection and order. This is more than just a gatekeeping role; it’s about being a frontline ambassador for safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control all entry and exit points of the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and vehicles gain access.
- Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate logbooks for all incoming and outgoing individuals and assets.
- Conduct routine patrols and surveillance of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activities, breaches, or hazards.
- Operate security equipment such as CCTV systems, metal detectors, and access control software efficiently.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established procedures.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures consistently and professionally.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Provide clear directions and assistance to visitors while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
