Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Process check-outs efficiently, accurately handling payments and resolving any outstanding issues.
  • Manage guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations with attention to detail.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, striving for first-contact resolution.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls professionally and direct them appropriately.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling and transportation needs when required.
  • Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, security, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, consistently upholding the company's service standards and values.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Guest Service Attendant or Front Desk Agent.
  • Knowledge of an additional local language (e.g., Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa).
  • Certification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
