Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures and emergency protocols, conducting pre-flight checks and safety briefings.
- Provide outstanding personalized customer service, anticipating passenger needs and addressing inquiries with a positive attitude.
- Serve meals, beverages, and other amenities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable in-flight experience.
- Handle a variety of situations with professionalism and grace, including managing challenging passenger interactions and resolving conflicts.
- Administer first aid and respond to medical emergencies onboard, coordinating with ground staff and medical professionals as necessary.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, and those with disabilities.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin throughout the flight.
- Complete all required administrative duties, including flight reports, sales records, and incident documentation.
- Work seamlessly as part of a diverse cabin crew team, fostering a cooperative and supportive environment.
- Represent Air Mauritius with pride, maintaining impeccable personal grooming and uniform standards at all times.
Required Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality, tourism, or service industry.
- Exceptional command of both English and French languages (written and spoken).
- Possession of a valid Mauritian passport with at least 12 months remaining validity.
- Ability to swim a minimum of 25 meters unaided.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an innate ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, resilient, and resourceful under pressure.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, on both short and long-haul flights.
- High school certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum age of 18 years at the time of application.
- Achieve a minimum arm reach of 212cm while standing on tiptoes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in an airline operational role.
- Proficiency in additional international languages (e.g., German, Mandarin, Italian, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, Cantonese).
- Certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- A tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related field.
