Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for a fleet of drivers, considering factors like traffic patterns, delivery windows, driver availability, and customer requirements.
- Utilize advanced routing software and mapping tools to create efficient and cost-effective schedules.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with drivers regarding their routes, schedules, and any changes or special instructions.
- Monitor route progress in real-time, making proactive adjustments as needed to address delays, breakdowns, or unforeseen operational issues.
- Collaborate closely with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of delivery challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of routes, deliveries completed, driver performance metrics, and any incidents encountered.
- Analyze route data and delivery reports to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.
- Ensure all route planning and execution adhere to local transportation regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new drivers regarding route navigation and delivery protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery route scheduling.
