Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness across De La Vega City and surrounding areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reconcile discrepancies using our inventory management system.
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation for shipments and deliveries (e.g., waybills, invoices, manifests, customs forms).
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure seamless logistics flow and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and company policies within the warehouse environment to ensure a secure workplace.
- Track and report on key logistics metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance performance.
- Resolve delivery issues, customer complaints, and operational challenges promptly and professionally, maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of goods movement, inventory, and delivery status using relevant software and digital platforms.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and procedures, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in logistics, warehouse management, and delivery coordination.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Valid driver's license (Class C or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience with ERP systems or advanced logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and import/export procedures specific to Jamaica.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles in a logistics setting.
