Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement original sound effects, ambient soundscapes, and musical elements for various projects, ensuring they align with the creative vision.
- Record and process Foley, field recordings, and other audio source material as needed.
- Mix, master, and edit audio assets to professional standards, ensuring optimal playback across target platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, animators, and producers, to integrate audio seamlessly.
- Maintain and expand comprehensive audio asset libraries, ensuring proper organisation and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related technical issues during development and post-production.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies in sound design and music production.
- Contribute to the overall audio direction and quality control for all projects.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or FL Studio.
- Demonstrable experience with sound synthesis, sampling, and advanced audio manipulation techniques.
- Strong understanding of audio engineering principles, including mixing, mastering, equalisation, compression, and spatial audio.
- Expertise in creating sound effects (SFX) and ambient audio for various media.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of sound design and music production work.
