Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, set up instruments, and ensure all equipment is ready for various dental procedures.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment strictly adhering to hygiene protocols and infection control standards.
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists chairside during a wide range of treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, process appointments, and handle billing information accurately using dental software.
- Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions, oral hygiene education, and general dental advice to patients.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies, monitor stock levels, and place orders for new materials as needed.
- Process dental X-rays and other diagnostic images while ensuring patient privacy and data protection.
- Ensure the clinic maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide administrative support as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, clinic policies, and professional ethical guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Clinic Assistant or Zahnmedizinische Fachangestellte (ZFA) for at least 2 years.
- Excellent understanding of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and materials.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dampsoft, Charly) and basic office applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-first approach.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental environment.
- Fluent in German (written and spoken) is absolutely essential for patient communication and documentation.
