Are you a skilled electronics repairer with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer service? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electronics Repairer to join a dynamic team providing essential home service in Kakamega, Kakamega County. In this role, you will be the face of our client’s commitment to quality, travelling to customer residences to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide array of electronic devices. From televisions and sound systems to home appliances and small gadgets, your expertise will ensure our clients’ customers enjoy seamless functionality and extended product life.

This position requires not only technical prowess but also strong interpersonal skills, as you’ll be interacting directly with clients in their homes. You’ll need to clearly explain technical issues in an understandable manner, provide accurate estimates, and offer preventive maintenance advice. A keen eye for detail, a methodical approach to diagnostics, and the ability to work independently are paramount. Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer homes within Kakamega and surrounding areas to diagnose and repair electronic devices.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various consumer electronics (TVs, audio systems, home appliances, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining technical issues, repair options, and estimated costs clearly and courteously.
  • Provide accurate job estimates and collect payments upon completion of service.
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and company guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain personal inventory of tools and frequently used spare parts.
  • Offer advice on proper usage and preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of electronic devices.
  • Adhere to scheduled appointments and manage time efficiently to meet service demands.
  • Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in repairing a wide range of consumer electronics.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment and repair tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift and move electronic equipment as needed.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili.
