In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the overall quality of our video and multimedia productions by assisting our senior sound designers and editors. Your primary focus will be on the meticulous preparation, organization, and initial editing of audio assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior sound editors in all stages of audio post-production for various multimedia projects, including video, animations, and digital content.
  • Perform initial audio cleanup, noise reduction, and equalization on dialogue, voice-overs, and field recordings.
  • Select, edit, and place sound effects, Foley, and ambient tracks to enhance visual narratives.
  • Synchronize audio elements (dialogue, music, sound effects) precisely with video footage.
  • Mix and balance audio levels to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Organize, manage, and maintain the company’s digital audio asset library.
  • Prepare audio files for final mix and master, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with video editors, motion graphic designers, and producers through virtual communication tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest audio software, plugins, and industry best practices.
  • Provide creative input and suggestions for sonic design improvements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in at least one major Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve Fairlight.
  • Fundamental understanding of audio editing principles, mixing, and mastering.
  • Strong ear for detail and an understanding of sound design's impact on storytelling.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing large audio project files and libraries.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective remote collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace conducive to audio editing.
  • Basic knowledge of different audio file formats and codecs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Audio Production, Sound Design, Film Studies, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of professional experience in audio post-production for film, video, or digital media.
  • Experience with audio restoration and noise reduction software (e.g., iZotope RX).
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating sound editing and design capabilities.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
