As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our brands, developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our overall business objectives. You will lead the charge in identifying market opportunities, understanding consumer behavior, and translating insights into actionable brand plans. You will be responsible for the full brand lifecycle, from strategic conceptualization to execution and performance analysis, ensuring our brands not only meet but exceed consumer expectations and market targets. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive annual and long-term brand marketing strategies and plans for assigned brands, aligned with company objectives and market dynamics.
  • Oversee the entire marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion) for designated brands, ensuring optimal positioning and competitive advantage.
  • Manage brand budgets effectively, ensuring expenditure is optimized for maximum ROI and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, traditional media, in-store, and experiential activations.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and consumer insights analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, research & development, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of brand plans and product launches.
  • Manage and mentor junior brand team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze brand performance using key metrics (sales, market share, brand equity, profitability), reporting on outcomes and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Identify new product development opportunities and work closely with R&D to bring innovative solutions to market.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies (advertising, media, PR, research) to ensure high-quality, on-brand deliverables and effective campaign execution.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years' progressive experience in brand management or marketing roles within the FMCG sector, with at least 2 years at a senior level.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies that have driven market share growth and improved brand equity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, consumer insights, and financial reports effectively.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing marketing teams.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Deep understanding of the Zimbabwean consumer market and beverage industry dynamics.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a results-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with iconic or established brands in a highly competitive market.
  • Certifications in digital marketing or project management.
  • Experience in both traditional and digital marketing campaign execution.
