Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including workstations, floors, and storage rooms.
- Dispose of waste and recycling properly, adhering to established hygiene and safety standards.
- Receive and store deliveries, verifying accuracy and proper rotation of stock.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles.
- Support the catering team during service periods, assisting with plating and replenishment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to ensure smooth operations.
