Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior geologists and project managers in conducting field investigations, surveys, and sampling programs.
- Operate and maintain a variety of geological field equipment, including GPS devices, drilling rigs, and monitoring instruments.
- Accurately collect, record, and organize geological data, samples, and observations in field logs and digital formats.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on-site.
- Support the preparation of field reports, maps, and cross-sections under supervision.
- Transport equipment and samples to and from project sites as required.
- Perform basic equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
- Assist with site reconnaissance, mapping, and logistical planning for field operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of geological principles and concepts.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and challenging terrains.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
