Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and fresh juices, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash and electronic payments, and ensure accurate billing and cash reconciliation at the end of shifts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the café area, including tables, counters, equipment, and serving stations, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
- Restock inventory, including food items, beverages, and supplies, ensuring adequate levels are maintained throughout service hours.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as plating pastries, making sandwiches, or preparing salads as directed by the Café Supervisor.
- Respond to guest inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and provide information about menu items, hotel facilities, and local attractions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and health standards to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a café, restaurant, or hotel setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
