Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all assigned prep and cooking duties with precision and efficiency according to established recipes.
  • Prepare a diverse range of international dishes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times, in full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, communicate needs to the Sous Chef or Head Chef, and assist with stock rotation.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
  • Assist in the development and testing of new menu items, particularly those with a focus on global culinary influences.
  • Adhere strictly to portion control guidelines and actively contribute to waste reduction efforts.
  • Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment, preferably with an emphasis on international cuisine.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in preparing a variety of global dishes (e.g., Mediterranean, Asian, Latin American, European).
  • Strong foundational knife skills and comprehensive understanding of various cooking techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive teamwork.
