Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead decorators and event planners with the setup and dismantling of event decor elements.
  • Unpack, assemble, and position various decorations including furniture, linens, lighting, floral arrangements, and thematic props.
  • Carefully handle and transport delicate decor items to and from event venues.
  • Ensure all decor is set up according to design plans, safety standards, and client specifications.
  • Assist with inventory management, including checking items in and out, and reporting damages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, vehicles, and storage facilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and venue staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues during setup, adapting to unforeseen challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to strict timelines and schedules to ensure timely completion of setup tasks.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled event times, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • Basic understanding of tools for assembly and disassembly (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event setup, retail display, or a related hands-on creative role.
  • Experience with safe handling and transportation of delicate or valuable items.
