Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our growing team as a Bank Teller & Customer Service Representative in Nyanza, Southern Province. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cheque cashing.
- Handle cash and maintain an accurate cash drawer, adhering to strict balancing procedures.
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services, such as new accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about bank products and policies with professionalism and courtesy.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming branch environment.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the branch as required.
- Educate customers on the use of self-service banking options and digital platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance customer service.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and bank operations at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or cash-handling role, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn banking software.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller.
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and banking products.
- Experience with CRM software and digital banking platforms.
