Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and common areas according to established standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Replenish guest room amenities, linens, and supplies, ensuring all items are correctly stocked and arranged.
  • Inspect rooms for repairs or maintenance needs and report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
  • Handle guest requests and inquiries with courtesy and efficiency, always maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping trolleys and storage areas.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens when required.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Consistently uphold the hotel's image and service philosophy by providing exceptional service and maintaining a high standard of appearance and conduct.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks periodically as scheduled or directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to clean and maintain rooms to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to attendance.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and a courteous attitude towards guests and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) as a Housekeeper in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to speak multiple local languages is a plus.
  • A passion for service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
