Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate e-learning instructor to join our remote team, specializing in delivering high-quality virtual classes. As an e-learning instructor, you will be instrumental in shaping the learning journeys of our students, providing engaging, interactive, and effective online education. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within Wajir, Wajir County, while making a significant impact on learners eager to acquire new skills and knowledge. You will be responsible for preparing course materials, facilitating live online sessions, grading assignments, and providing constructive feedback to ensure student comprehension and progress. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging virtual lessons and course content using our Learning Management System (LMS) and virtual classroom tools.
  • Facilitate interactive online discussions, group activities, and collaborative projects.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and engagement, offering additional support or resources as needed.
  • Hold virtual office hours to address student queries and provide academic guidance.
  • Stay updated with best practices in e-learning pedagogy and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with course developers and instructional designers to enhance curriculum and course materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and communication.
  • Ensure technical proficiency in all e-learning platforms and assist students with basic technical issues related to the course.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or training, preferably in an online or remote setting.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong pedagogical skills with an understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive online learning environments.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
  • Proven subject matter expertise in the relevant field of instruction (e.g., IT, Business, Languages, Health, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, a relevant subject matter, or a related field.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design for online courses.
  • Certification in online teaching or instructional technology.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards for digital content.
  • Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Somali, Borana, Swahili) in addition to English.
