Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport medications and medical supplies to designated locations (patient homes, clinics, pharmacies) within Anchilo, Nampula.
  • Verify medication orders against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy before dispatch and upon delivery.
  • Handle all medical packages with utmost care, adhering to proper storage and transport guidelines, including temperature control when required.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes using maps or GPS, ensuring timely arrivals.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations upon successful delivery.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Report any delivery discrepancies, issues, or unusual circumstances promptly to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all local traffic laws, company safety policies, and healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., patient confidentiality).
  • Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle (if company-provided) or personal vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license (motorcycle or light vehicle) suitable for use in Mozambique.
  • Excellent knowledge of local roads and areas within Anchilo, Nampula.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order verification.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation tools effectively.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weights (up to 15 kg) if required.
  • Basic communication skills in Portuguese (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or a related field, especially with sensitive items.
