Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Library Information Assistant to join our team, supporting one of our esteemed partner institutions in Al Faseel, Fujairah. This pivotal role requires a blend of organizational skills, technical proficiency, and a genuine desire to assist patrons. The Library Information Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth daily operation of our partner library, serving as a primary point of contact for visitors seeking resources, guidance, and support. You will manage circulation, assist with basic cataloging, maintain an inviting and organized library space, and contribute to various administrative tasks that keep our information hub thriving. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patrons with locating library materials, using online catalogs, and accessing digital resources.
  • Manage the circulation desk, including checking books in and out, processing new registrations, and handling renewals and reserves.
  • Organize and re-shelve library materials accurately according to established classification systems.
  • Assist with basic cataloging and processing of new acquisitions, ensuring all materials are properly labeled and ready for circulation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library space, ensuring a conducive environment for study and research.
  • Provide technical support for library equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing reports, managing supplies, and maintaining records.
  • Support library programs and events, assisting with setup, registration, and general coordination.
  • Respond to inquiries in person, via phone, and email, providing accurate and helpful information to patrons.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in library management software and online catalog systems.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
