Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Monitor security systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) for security incidents and respond effectively to alerts and events.
- Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Assist in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on security best practices for various technologies, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and network devices.
- Support the evaluation and selection of new security technologies and solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on security posture, risks, and incidents for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Contribute to security awareness training programs for employees and clients.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on protection and risk.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and best practices.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Proficiency in network security, including TCP/IP, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Familiarity with operating system security (Windows, Linux) and cloud security concepts (Azure, AWS).
- Ability to analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or EC-Council CEH are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
