Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians or apprentices when required.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections.
- Install and troubleshoot control systems, motor controls, and various industrial electrical components.
- Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and perform necessary repairs promptly.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of national and local electrical codes (e.g., VDE standards in Germany).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proven experience with diagnostic tools and equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Physical dexterity and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
