Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Mobile App Tester to join our growing Quality Assurance team in West Edmonton. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and test scripts for mobile applications on various devices and operating systems (iOS, Android).
  • Identify, document, and report bugs and defects clearly and concisely using our issue tracking system.
  • Perform functional, regression, UI/UX, and performance testing as guided by senior testers.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand new features and ensure proper testing coverage.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to the development team on application quality and usability.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress, issues, and upcoming tasks.
  • Help maintain and update test documentation and test cases.
  • Learn and apply new testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Contribute to improving the overall quality assurance processes.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies.
  • A genuine passion for technology and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
  • Experience using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) for personal projects or academic work.
  • Basic knowledge of different types of software testing (e.g., functional, UI, performance).
  • Completed a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with mobile device troubleshooting.
