Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and common areas, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, polishing furniture, and cleaning mirrors.
  • Replenish guest room amenities, linens, towels, and stationery according to hotel standards.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and floors.
  • Empty waste bins and transport soiled linen to designated areas for collection.
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items in guest rooms or public spaces to the supervisor.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and grooming at all times.
  • Interact respectfully and professionally with guests, responding efficiently to any reasonable requests or inquiries.
  • Assist with inventory management and control of cleaning supplies, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meticulously without constant supervision.
  • Good time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
  • Physical stamina and mobility to perform duties that include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and pushing carts.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of previous experience as a Room Attendant or a similar role in a reputable hotel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and basic written.
  • Familiarity with hotel operating procedures and guest service protocols.
  • Certification in hygiene or sanitation is an added advantage.
