Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and dependable Hostel Caretaker to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a vibrant hostel facility located in Sangotedo, Lagos. Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cleaning and tidiness of common areas, including lounges, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and report maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, painting touch-ups).
- Oversee contractors for larger repairs, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Monitor security systems and ensure the safety and security of the hostel and its occupants.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and repair materials, reporting needs for replenishment.
- Assist in resident check-ins and check-outs, providing basic orientation to the hostel rules and facilities.
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations to ensure a harmonious living environment for all residents.
- Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests, concerns, and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and incidents.
- Cultivate a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for all residents.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in property maintenance, caretaking, or similar roles.
- Basic handyman skills for minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- High level of trustworthiness and integrity.
