Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate daily financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, reconcile bank statements, and ensure timely and accurate payment of bills.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely disbursement.
- Conduct regular financial reconciliations (bank, credit card, intercompany accounts) to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to management.
- Assist in the preparation for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support operational needs.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero).
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
