Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Storekeeper to join our operations team in Flacq, Flacq District. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of our inventory and stock management, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, capable of maintaining an organized warehouse environment and implementing efficient stock control procedures. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, performing regular stock checks, and collaborating closely with procurement and dispatch teams to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize discrepancies. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods and materials.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse/store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Manage inventory using a computerized system, ensuring accuracy of stock levels.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
  • Prepare and dispatch outgoing goods according to orders, ensuring correct quantities and documentation.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on low stock or potential shortages to the procurement team.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks).
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures within the store.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • Experience in a retail or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of safety standards for warehouse operations.
