Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and motivated Kitchen Steward to join our esteemed client’s culinary team in the prestigious Eko Atlantic, Lagos. As a Kitchen Steward, you will be instrumental in maintaining a pristine and efficient workspace for our chefs and culinary staff, directly contributing to a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all guests. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive dishwashing duties, ensuring all kitchenware, utensils, and cooking equipment are spotless and properly sanitized.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, stoves, ovens, and storage spaces, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Assist in the proper disposal and recycling of waste, ensuring waste management protocols are followed diligently.
  • Support the culinary team by organizing and stocking inventory, rotating supplies, and ensuring all items are easily accessible.
  • Inspect and ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the kitchen management promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations and health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Aid in receiving and storing deliveries, verifying quantities and quality of goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to ensure operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.

Preferred Qualifications
