Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, creation of new dishes, and recipe standardization.
  • Oversee and manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP principles).
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage food orders, and minimize waste to optimize kitchen costs.
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes served.
  • Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning.
  • Step in for the Executive Chef during their absence, maintaining continuity of operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or higher in a reputable hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
