Learning Hub Mauritius is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Private Tutor to join our esteemed team in Vallee Pitot, Port Louis. As a Private Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one or small group instruction across a variety of subjects, catering to students from diverse educational backgrounds and age groups, including primary, secondary, and tertiary levels.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, personalized one-on-one or small group tutoring to students across various subjects and academic levels.
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and teaching strategies tailored to each student's specific needs, learning style, and academic goals.
- Assess student understanding and progress regularly through informal evaluations, homework assignments, and practice tests.
- Offer clear, constructive feedback to students to help them improve their understanding and performance.
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, projects, and understanding core concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and areas requiring further attention.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with students, parents, or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices to ensure relevant and effective instruction.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment that motivates students.
- Adhere to Learning Hub Mauritius's policies and standards of professional conduct.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in relevant subject matter (e.g., Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, French, Accounting, Economics).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (Creole proficiency is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and paces.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to student challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant academic discipline or Education.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in private tutoring, teaching, or educational support roles.
- Teaching certification or pedagogical training.
- Experience with various curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB, local Mauritian curriculum).
- Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and tools.
