Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum and school standards for primary and/or secondary levels.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress through various methods, provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and student well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student development and address individual needs.
- Participate actively in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school-wide extracurricular activities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, discipline, and a safe learning atmosphere.
- Integrate technology and innovative resources to enhance the learning experience and prepare students for the digital age.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations, providing necessary guidance, revision, and support.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed).
- Excellent pedagogical and classroom management skills with a proven track record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French; bilingualism is highly valued.
- Thorough knowledge of primary and/or secondary curriculum requirements in Mauritius.

- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
