Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in real-time through chat to answer inquiries, provide product/service information, and resolve issues.
  • Efficiently diagnose and troubleshoot customer problems, offering accurate and timely solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing professional, courteous, and empathetic support.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions accurately in the CRM system.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams for further investigation and resolution.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Continuously update knowledge on products, services, and company policies to ensure accurate information delivery.
  • Identify trends in customer inquiries and feedback, contributing insights for service improvement.
  • Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining high quality and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills in English, with impeccable grammar and spelling.
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy (minimum 40 WPM).
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with customers and maintain a patient, professional demeanor.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with navigating multiple software applications.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated home workspace.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a chat support, customer service, or call center role.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce) or similar ticketing systems.
  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field.
  • Fluency in Swahili is an added advantage.
