Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist them with luggage handling, ensuring prompt and careful delivery to their rooms.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures as needed, including escorting them to their rooms and providing an overview of hotel facilities.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest inquiries, providing accurate information about hotel services, local attractions, and directions.
  • Deliver newspapers, mail, messages, and any special requests to guest rooms promptly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby, entrance, and other public areas of the hotel.
  • Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks, including answering phones and managing incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Operate and maintain hotel equipment such as luggage trolleys and bell carts safely and effectively.
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures, reporting any suspicious activities or safety hazards immediately.
  • Assist with room service delivery and other guest-related tasks as required, ensuring high standards of service.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure a coordinated and seamless guest experience.

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, particularly in a porter or guest service role.
  • Familiarity with Bariga and general Lagos area for providing guest recommendations.
  • Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license (optional, but beneficial for certain duties).
