As a Restaurant Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our bustling restaurant. You’ll be the supportive backbone of our front-of-house team, working closely with our waitstaff, kitchen team, and management to maintain our high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency. Your tasks will be diverse and dynamic, ranging from meticulously preparing dining areas before service, ensuring all cutlery and crockery are perfectly polished, to assisting guests with their needs throughout their visit. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming first impression and a comfortable dining environment, directly contributing to our guests’ satisfaction. You will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless flow of service, from helping to seat guests and presenting menus to clearing tables and resetting them swiftly for the next patrons. Furthermore, you will assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including the dining area, restrooms, and service stations, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating as needed.
- Prepare dining areas by setting tables, ensuring cleanliness, and arranging cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
- Assist waitstaff in taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
- Clear tables promptly after guests depart and reset them for new diners.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and restrooms throughout service.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks or dishwashing during peak hours if required.
- Handle guest inquiries and minor issues with professionalism and escalate to management when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Replenish condiments, napkins, and other table essentials regularly.
- Support the entire restaurant team in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
