Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed API test cases, including functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
- Utilize API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, JMeter) to validate API functionality and data integrity.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand API specifications and ensure test coverage for new features and changes.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Perform root cause analysis of issues and work with developers to resolve them efficiently.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of API testing processes, methodologies, and automation frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on API design and implementation from a testability perspective.
- Monitor API performance and reliability in various environments.
- Clearly communicate test results, progress, and risks to stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an API Tester or QA Engineer with a strong focus on API testing.
