As an FP&A Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Planning & Analysis function, providing critical insights that drive business performance and growth. You will be instrumental in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, helping to translate complex financial data into actionable intelligence for key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Conduct thorough variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, providing clear explanations for deviations and identifying key performance drivers.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key trends, insights, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and support their financial needs.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by senior FP&A team members, contributing to data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a finance or analytical role, preferably within Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating strong time management.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Part-qualification in a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Previous experience working effectively in a remote or hybrid role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
