Job Description
We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Hotel Driver to join our client’s esteemed hospitality team in Sangotedo, Lagos. This vital role is central to ensuring an exceptional first and last impression for our guests, providing safe, timely, and comfortable transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable driving record, strong knowledge of Lagos road networks, and a commitment to outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for transporting guests to and from various locations, including airports, local attractions, business meetings, and other destinations as requested, while upholding the highest standards of safety, discretion, and courtesy.
Beyond simply driving, this role requires a proactive approach to guest care. You will assist guests with luggage, provide local insights and recommendations, and ensure the vehicle is always in pristine condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. Maintaining accurate trip logs, adhering to traffic regulations, and performing routine vehicle checks are crucial aspects of this position. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport hotel guests to and from designated locations, including airports, local attractions, and business venues.
- Assist guests with luggage handling and provide courteous, professional service at all times.
- Maintain the hotel vehicle(s) in immaculate condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular maintenance checks, and reporting any defects promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, hotel policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle service schedules.
- Possess excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, alternative routes, and local points of interest to provide efficient navigation and guest recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests to ensure smooth coordination of transportation services.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and discretion, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant journey.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on guest needs and hotel occupancy.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class G preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a hospitality or corporate environment
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable driving record with no history of major accidents or violations
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance
- Fluency in English (verbal communication)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving luxury or executive vehicles
- First Aid and defensive driving certification
- Ability to communicate in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa)
- Previous experience working in a hotel or guest-facing role
