Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and sort incoming donations, including clothing, household goods, books, and electronics.
  • Inspect donations for quality, cleanliness, and usability, identifying items suitable for resale, distribution, or recycling.
  • Categorize and organize sorted items into designated bins and areas, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Tag, price, and prepare items for display or transfer to various distribution channels.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe sorting area, regularly clearing pathways and disposing of unsuitable items.
  • Assist with inventory management and record-keeping related to donation intake and outflow.
  • Operate basic equipment such as pallet jacks or carts to move donations safely.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
