Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, and chat for a remote workforce.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity suites (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and proprietary applications.
- Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights within various systems.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, peripherals, and software for new and existing employees.
- Assist with network connectivity issues, including VPN troubleshooting and wireless network configuration.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and technical procedures accurately in our ticketing system.
- Participate in IT asset management, including tracking inventory, deployment, and decommissioning.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and special projects.
- Educate users on best practices for IT security and efficient use of technology resources.
- Proactively identify and escalate recurring technical issues or trends to improve overall system stability.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IT help desk or technical support role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
- Familiarity with network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and user-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience with cloud collaboration platforms like Google Workspace.
