Key Responsibilities
- Organize, supervise, and actively lead a variety of daily resort activities, including sports, games, fitness sessions, and cultural events.
- Interact warmly and professionally with guests from diverse backgrounds, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
- Provide clear, enthusiastic instructions and demonstrations for all activities, ensuring guest safety at all times.
- Promote resort facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of activity areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
- Handle guest inquiries and feedback regarding activities and resort services efficiently and courteously.
- Collaborate with other resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of new and exciting activities to keep the resort offering fresh and appealing.
- Adhere to all resort policies, safety standards, and service protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or guest relations role, preferably within hospitality or tourism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English and French (Creole is a bonus).
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Basic first aid knowledge or willingness to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an activities coordinator, entertainer, or sports instructor in a resort setting.
- Certification in a specific activity (e.g., lifeguard, dive instructor, fitness trainer, yoga instructor).
- Knowledge of local Mauritian culture, history, and natural attractions.
- Proficiency in additional international languages.
- Tertiary qualification in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
