Key Responsibilities

  • Operate professional video cameras, lenses, and related equipment for various productions (e.g., corporate, commercial, documentary, live events).
  • Collaborate with directors and producers to understand creative vision and execute shots effectively.
  • Set up and break down camera equipment, including tripods, dollies, jibs, and lighting.
  • Conduct technical checks to ensure all equipment is in working order before and during shoots.
  • Maintain proper framing, focus, and exposure throughout shooting sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with camera equipment on location.
  • Assist with lighting and audio setup as needed to support overall production quality.
  • Manage and organize raw footage efficiently for post-production workflow.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in operating professional-grade video cameras (e.g., Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, ARRI).
  • Strong understanding of camera mechanics, optics, and exposure settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed).
  • Expertise in composition, framing, and various camera movements (tracking, panning, tilting).
  • Knowledge of different lighting techniques and their application in various shooting scenarios.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic shooting environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality visual output.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Film Production, Cinematography, Media Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced camera stabilization systems (gimbals, Steadicam).
  • Familiarity with drone operation for aerial videography (license preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of post-production workflows, including editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Portfolio showcasing diverse camera operating experience.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with live streaming setups and multi-camera productions.
