Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Building Security Officer to join our team in the bustling Al Nahyan Camp Area of Abu Dhabi. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. As a Building Security Officer, you will be the first line of defense, responsible for protecting property, preventing illegal activities, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and calm. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas regularly to ensure safety and security, checking for unauthorized persons or suspicious activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to detect and deter any security breaches.
- Control access to the building, verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, following established protocols.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Provide assistance and direction to visitors and staff when required.
- Conduct periodic inspections of fire safety equipment and emergency exits.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and report any unusual occurrences immediately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
- Valid SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Agency) license or equivalent in UAE is highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
- Proficiency in monitoring surveillance systems and access control devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Basic first aid and fire safety knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in security management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a corporate or commercial building security environment.
- Fluency in Arabic in addition to English.
- Ability to de-escalate conflicts and handle challenging situations professionally.
